ART CHALLENGE, Moderated by Tony Askew

THEME: WORD” .  The POWER of a single word is the assignment and your inspiration. Words have power to move us emotionally, to evoke a strong visual reaction, and can be both uplifting and harmful.  Select one word, don't use a phrase...just a single Word and create your art piece to reflect a word meaningful to you.  We will surely have some unique and innovative art to share.

CREATE: Turn off your brain, play, experiment with a new medium, or a twist on the style you have mastered. Depict your Word choice with any style, any interpretation of art: representational, contemporary, abstract, and any medium: painting, printmaking, collage, assemblage, photography, and sculpture. It is not necessary to bring the art framed, but if on paper, please clip or tape to a mat or board.

FORMAT: Your art piece will be shown on an easel, and Tony and Joyce will lead the discussion and take comments from members. Each member participating will have approximately 3 to 4 minutes for presentation and discussion time.
