As an abstract contemporary painter, I focus on using texture, color, and depth to create mood. My work aims to create a visual space that invites the viewer in to explore an abstracted atmosphere filled with suggested forms and imagery.

Much of my work evokes a calm, meditative mood by breaking down layers of color and creating a subtle sense of depth. This deconstruction of color is achieved through a range of unconventional means, from bleach to black tea to vinegar.

I experiment with many liquids and dyes to achieve the exact color and tone that I seek. The result is work that conveys an obscured, diffused perspective on the world around us.
