Rosemarie C. Gebhart

In creating my imagery, I have always been influenced by the act of creative spontaneity, which ultimately results in accidental patterns and organic forms.

These might consist of color transparencies, textural images or meandering line formations. Having had a science background resonates in the organic forms and tactile feel of many of these creations. I have always been drawn to the limitless landscape of creative stimulation, horizons, undulating lines and explosions of color made up in many of my compositions.

Drawing upon the visual images from art history, especially those of Rufino Tamayo, organic forms, and interior design influenced me creating without intention, intuitive meanderings and using color as a backdrop to enhance the compositions.
