Bonny Butler is an artist living and working in Oxnard, California. Her work is a technique-and-process-driven practice, with a focus on colorful gestural figurative and abstract imagery. Along with random bits of reference from both art history and modern art in her work, Bonnie is inspired by her neighborhood surroundings along the California coast. Her art explores the fine balance between abstraction and realism, and you will always see her sensitive, expressive heart in every piece of art.

Bonnie belongs to Women Painters West, the Santa Barbara Art Association, the Buenaventura Art Association, and the Santa Clarita Artist Association. Her husband, Don, is a vintage guitar enthusiast and her son, Sean Tully, is a Cal Arts graduate and local Ventura surfer. Aside from painting daily, she enjoys home cooking and Tai Chi.
