"Abstract Painting with Pastels"
Are you curious about the versatile medium of pastels and want to know more about techniques? Creating a simple grid composition, you will learn how to work with a textured surface and layers of pastels to achieve an intriguing painting. The process includes using a limited number of colors to make rectilinear shapes, and then adding limited line work. Carol will show different ways to apply the pastel and how to choose a color palette.
The workshop will be led by AAC board member Carol Talley. She has 30 years of experience painting with pastels. All materials will be provided. To reserve a spot, email caroltalley@gmail.com and arrange payment of $40.
Preference with be giving to AAC members, and enrollment is limited to 12 people.
