Ann Wirtz, an artist based in Santa Barbara, California utilizes her background as a STEAM educator and graphic designer to create dynamic works of art. She is a native Californian with a bachelor's degree in Applied Art & Design and a minor in Graphic Communications from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Ann is also an art and design STEAM educator with multiple credentials including a single subject in art from Westmont, a CTE credential in art and design, as well as an ITE credential from UCSB.

As a visual storyteller she explores various artistic styles including figurative, abstract, and mixed media. Her works of art are inspired by human interactions, nature, and her love for creating innovative abstract designs. Not to be limited by one subject or the other she creates artwork that fully represents her evolving creative process incorporating expressive ideas. She is a member of various art associations including the Santa Barbara Art Association. Her work has been displayed locally in juried shows and galleries. She also has one of her paintings in the permanent collection at Cal Poly as well as in private collections.
