Tanya U. Lozano

Tanya exhibits in galleries and is in corporate and private collections. Her work is used in film, TV, and commercials. She also shows throughout Los Angeles.

Her style is abstract expressionism. Inspired by Gerard Richter, Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock, she is extremely observant of details; she's a risk-taker and an experimenter. Her hope is that viewers will be energized by the colors and textures, and be able to connect with them.

Using acrylics on canvas, she creates depth and complexity through layering and texture. There are so many layers of color under the final paintings that, depending on the lighting, they can be seen to PEEK OUT. There's a visual transition from the Morning to the Evening in all her art. It’s always about light and dark and how they play off one another. Her COLORS project ENERGY. They set the ambiance. All that is needed is LIGHT!
