ART CHALLENGE, Moderated by Tony Askew
With an added Special Event (REshceduled from July):
At 1:20pm following announcements, “The Art of Selling More Art”. This is a short presentation on basic sales techniques to help artists sell their artwork. The presentation will be given by John Carey, Denise’s husband, who has over 30 years of experience in professional sales and marketing. AAC is honored to host this special event for our members.
THEME: “Earth, Air, Fire, Water, InFlux”
We are going to explore a fascinating and diverse theme that will send you in a myriad of directions. Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, the four elements have been part of science and religion for centuries. Fire represents light, Water is thought to bring darkness, Wind gives birth to spirit and Earth represents humanity. The form of all things is composed of these four elements, and the elements represent the four seasons. Our seasons are in flux with extreme and critical changes to Earth’s ecosystem causing global warming, tornadoes, and human suffering. This will be an interesting challenge to share, whether you opt for fantasy and ancient philosophy or create something exploring current social issues.
