California-based painter, Susan Vodonick, has been perfecting her skills in abstract acrylic painting since 2012. Her painting is her peace and another avenue through which she is able to create a connection with others. She draws on inspiration from all aspects of the world around her including her love of people and nature. She continues to explore different styles, themes, and techniques, and loves to take on the challenge of always pushing herself to perfect the usage of different elements to create the most pleasing compositions. Color, texture and forms create simple and complex dialogues in her paintings.

Susan was born in Rochester, New York, and moved to California at eight years old. Art was always a passion of hers. After teaching Spanish and Cultural Arts for 18 years while raising a family, she started fulfilling her dream of sharing her interpretation of the world around us through her abstract act. She is primarily a self-taught abstract artist relying upon her strong background in drawing and composition.
