A native of Washington, D.C., I am a trained marketing specialist and graphic designer who has added personal art to my creative repertoire over the past decade. My work is inspired by abstract depictions of organic elements and their dynamics and vibrations within the natural world, often with colors that are amplified and vibrant to elevate the spirit of nature. Much of my work is created on the Hawaiian island of Maui, and depicts its watery vistas and horizons. My technique includes many layers and stages which often create an ethereal, and calming effect. It includes collage and textures while working in both mixed media, acrylic and oils, as well as non-traditional materials originally developed for other uses. I regularly experiment with new techniques while maintaining an evolving signature style.

I have also served on the board of Santa Barbara Visual Artists whose mission is to nurture local Santa Barbara area artists and who gather to celebrate and produce works.
